WASHINGTON, D.C. - President Obama is smiling from ear-to-ear after having made an NBA bet with the man he defeated in the 2012 presidential election, Mitt Romney.
President Obama said that he was sitting in the backyard at the White House enjoying the Easter holiday when he received a phone call from Romney.
The Old Flip-Flopper, as the Democrats and a few Republicans refer to him, told the president that he wanted to make a friendly professional basketball wager.
The president said that he would love to take him money and asked him what he had in mind.
Romney told him that he wanted to bet that his team, the Boston Celtics would be the Eastern Conference champions after they defeated The Miami Heat.
President Obama put down the bag of jalapeƱo-flavored pretzels he was eating and told him that he would definitely take that bet.
"Goody goody gumdrops" Romney replied.
"And tell me Mitty how much would you like to wager on your Boston Celtics?"
Romney replied "$10."
"$10!" the president yelled back. "No sir. That's the type of sissy wager that your ex-running mate 'Little Bunny Foo Foo' Ryan would make. Let's you and I make it $1,000."
"$1,0000!" Romney hollered back.
The president responded by saying that $1,000 is nothing to a multi-millionaire like him.
Romney thought for a moment and replied that he was indeed a multi-millionaire and that $1,000 was nothing to him.
SIDENOTE: President Obama told Sports Balls Illustrated Daily that he is going to take the $1,000 that he is going to win from Old Mittens and donate it to Michelle's 2013 White House Christmas Party Fund.
