Fabio Capello may have breached his 6 squillion lira contract with the Football Association by telling an Italian radio station he has asked the mafia to fix the Euro 2012 tournament so England can win.
An FA insider told the spoof sports desk "This completely unacceptable. it was hush hush, at least until we all got a bet on. The odds will be massively reduced now, or the mafia may accept a better offer from the Germans - and to be honest - that would hurt our fans more than not getting a bet on".
Speaking to Eyetie FM Fabio said "Tournament eees in da bag. Weeeee don't need capa-tun (to replace Terry) Don is sorting it for us".
Former FA executive Derek Derekson told the spoof "When I was at the FA we didn't have the italian contacts we have now, but even so, we always told the manager to keep quiet about fixing the games".
