A British engineer from Hampshire has broken the world land speed record for a human gas powered vehicle.
Richard Jenkins reached 126.1 mph (202.9 kmh) in his car Greenbird on the dry plains of Ivanpah Lake in Nevada purely by using farts, collected over a period of time and stored in a specially designed container.
Mr Jenkins said that it had taken him 10 years of "eating baked beans" to break the record and that, on the day, "things couldn't have been better, apart from he nearly followed through twice".
Some now are suggesting that wind powered vehicles are the future - as a man who does have 'gas' issues and has been known to 'toot' a lot - I myself am volunteering my services to any would be inventor who wants to run a vehicle on 'trumps'.
