Obama accidentally let it slip to reporters that Fidel Castro paid a one billion dollar contribution to his campaign contingent on the new President getting the United States to abandon Guantanamo Bay within a year. Gitmo, as it is known to soldiers, is a U.S. military base on the island nation of Cuba that has been there since before Fidel Castro took power.
Fidel Castro has also publically said that he believes in the Presidency of Obama and will work to support him. He has offered his council and advice and said that he will make himself available to the new leader.
Upon learning that Obama's reason for abandoning the base was due to receiving enough money to fund his purchase of the election for one day, the media immediately covered their ears and assumed the position of the three monkeys (see no evil from Obama, hear no evil from Obama, speak no evil about Obama).
