World Asthma Day is an annual event organized by the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) to improve asthma awareness and prevention around the world.
World Asthma Day 2008 will take place on Tuesday, May 6, 2008.
The theme of this year's event will be "You Can Control Your Asthma".

Lists of suggestions and 'talking points' are included, along with tips for improving 'awareness' of the rights of smokers and promoting healthful smoking.
