Science Town, USA Scientists were dismayed when the Republican Party announced their objections to Science and their intentions to ban it.
"Actually, I'm amazed it took them so long to try to ban it. They've never liked Science, especially basic Science things like global warming and evolution. It's always been a bit challenging, and now you throw in things like the Internet and e-mail and anti-virus programs, etc. and they are flummoxed," spoke one scientist.
"Science always wants things so exact," spoke one prominent Republican. "We like a little wiggle worm, a little more give-and-take," he said. "If Science had been a bit more lenient we might have worked something out. But they weren't, so we have to take action."
