It's all for a good cause. You see, the birdies are busy preparing for the surprise party they are throwing for the CEO of Twitter, who is leaving his post as of July 1.
Martha Stewart has been hired as party consultant. She's now working on the invitations. They will be tweeted, of course, so they can't be more than 140 characters.
Party favors will be Twitter inspired. Scarf pins for the ladies, lapel pins for the gents. They'll be adorned with replicas of the little Twitter birdies on a background of blue.
Willie Nelson will be the honored guest and will perform a special rendition of "Blue Skies." His bandana will be specially decorated with -- you guessed it -- replicas of the Twitter birdy.
Human guests will feast on sumptuous appetizers prepared by a famous chef, while the birdies will dine on a festive selection of worms and French Fries.
Keep this info under your hat. We did say it's a surprise, right?
