NASA scientists are worried that the Chinese might duplicate this mistake-laden picture of an astronaut in the near future.

Houston,TX.-The Peoples Republic of China is on track to repeat the greatest hoax of the last century:The Apollo moon landings. The announcement by NASA,the American space agency, comes just days after the communist country released pictures of a toy lunar rover crawling across the back lot of Universal Studios in California.

The pictures are replete with intersecting light beams, conflicting shadow placements and common everyday objects, such as flags and lamp posts in the background on the "lunar surface". These are the very items which became the hallmark of the supposed American moon landings. Experts agree that China has thus far done everything right.

Meanwhile, Senator Samuel L. Leghorn(Drunk-Florida),has launched an official inquiry into whether the Chinese are using stolen U.S. technology to further their hoax. "The evidence is clear. If their efforts are so unimpeachable then why is there an American flag flying in the background in all but three of their supposed lunar photographs?"

The inquiry by the Senate's Space and Technology Committee are expected to begin next week and last well into the twenty second century. "By then we will know with certain certitude whether they have duplicated our efforts. Well, I won't because I'll be dead, but someone will. That's for certain!"

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
