He recently talked to a NASA official and said that he has always dreamed of being the first person to set foot on the planet Mars.
Gates said that as a little kid in elementary school he would pretend that he was an astronaut and he would travel to Mars.
The multi-billionaire told NASA that he would be willing to pay them $50 million if they allow him to fulfill his childhood dream.
NASA Spokesperson Trent Timmelfarb contacted Mr. Gates and told him that a group of NASA executives will be meeting and they will see what they can work out.
