HOUSTON - Scientists are planning on changing the name of the planet Jupiter back to its original spelling which was Joopiter.
A spokesperson for the Solar System Coalition stated that when Jupiter was first discovered it was given the name Joopiter.
But apparently sometime during the 17th century a misprint in a book about the planets mistakenly changed the spelling from Joopiter to Jupiter and the new name stuck.
Recently a group of old-fashioned space fans got together and wrote a letter to President Obama.
The president promised to look into the matter and he soon got back with them.
He told them that they are 100 percent correct and that he is going to personally see that the original name Joopiter replaces the name that had been used for several centuries; Jupiter.
