For some unfathomable reason, in 2013, Fanny Chmelar reduced Bradley Walsh and participants in ITV's The Chase to tears at the mere mention of her name.
Chmelar (pronounced "shmeller") was born on 31 October 1985 and is a German former alpine skier. Fanny competed for Germany at the 2010 Winter Olympics and in three Skiing World Championships between 2007 and 2011. She also competed in the World Cup with her first World Cup event in December 2005, winning her first World Cup points in January 2006 in the Super-Combined. Fanny had one podium finish, a second place in the slalom at Åre, Sweden in 2009.
What's in a name? Ask Bradley Walsh
Apparently, Bradley Walsh later apologised for this unprofessional display.
We don't know where you are now, Fanny, but we seriously hope that you have married and dropped your maiden name.
