Have you ever had a storm named after you? If so, and you are still alive to read this story, consider yourself lucky. Only 3% of the people who have storms named after them live to tell about it.
Weather (pun intended), it is a winter storm, a hurricane, a tornado, or anything else, those people who have had the misfortune of a storm using their name, usually suffer weird and unexplained deaths within months of the storm occurring.
Some people attribute this phenomenon to the Gods playing games.
"Okay, it's your move, Poseidon," Aphrodite says.
Poseidon then conjures up a tropical storm, gives it a name like Percy, and then sees how many people named Percy he can claim.
This goes back and forth every year, until one God or Goddess is claimed the winner.
If the person does escape the wrath of the Gods, they are usually struck down within a few months, in an odd manner. They might get hit by a lightening bolt, choke on a cookie, or get eaten by a shark.
If you ever have a storm named after you, it is probably best to go underground for 9 to 7 years. That should be enough time to avoid any dangers that may befall you.
Al Roker once said that when he is ready to retire, he will name the last big storm he predicts after himself. "It's only fitting," he told the press. I suppose that may be, but knowing Al Roker, he will probably avoid any catastrophes. As most people know, he is a God anyway.
Think about it, how many people do you know that have had a stormed named after them? Probably not many.
