The 'banned' pizza = the 'yummiest' pizza

Eco Clubs are being encouraged in schools around Ontario.

Teachers and students are encouraged to be eco-friendly. I have no problem with teaching children to look after their environment but I questioned the sanity of students being asked to bring 'garbageless' lunches on Fridays.

Why? Because this is NOT actually helping the environment. The garbage still exists but it is in a different place. It's at their homes and not at school.

Also! If parents use plastic containers to put cookies or crackers in, for example, rather than send the children with the normal 'mini' packs, then they have to use hot water and dish soap to clean the containers when the children bring them home. Hot water needs energy. Dish soap costs money and has to be manufactured (more energy) and all dish soap is NOT ecologically friendly

School boards are going crazy here too. They have far too much power.

Classes are not allowed to sell chips or pop to raise money for year-end trips anymore. So what do parents do....send the pop and chips in the lunch pails.

Pizza must now be made with wholewheat crusts, no pepperoni! This means only cheese and sauce - nothing to look forward to there. The pizza sales also went towards year-end trips. The children have had a taste of the wholewhat pizza and we couldn't find one child in our school who enjoyed it.

Therefore! Parents will be buying the pizza that the children like and will be sending it for lunch.

As far as I know the children are still allowed to sell chocolate bars as a fundraiser.

Ssh! Don't let the School Boards find out.......

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
