Pam Ayres, poet Laurette of a fading English ideal has released her most controversial new poem to date. It does not always rhyme, but we have had to clean it up, and the fourth, fifth and sixth stanza's really were not suitable for a family publication like this, so here is the version we are able to print.

When I am older than tomorrow I will find,
The wisdom of the Daily Mail.
The point of youth.
My dentures in the last place I looked for them.
When I am older than tomorrow I will lose,
The wisdom of trainspotters.The loneliness of the party organiser.
My dentures in the place I put them down.
When I am older than tomorrow I will learn,
Nothing more than I forget,
To forget nothing less than half of what I learnt,
To look after my teeth,
To bow to the chief,
To offer courtesy to the thief,
and to keep my words and my works brief.
