A top TV critic has lashed out at celebrity chef Rick Stein's latest TV show.
Rick Stein's Spain launched on BBC2 yesterday and promised to investigate the little-known cuisine of the country's regions over four episodes.
Viewers were treated to seeing the chef on the ferry and then driving a camper van he borrowed for the journey around Spain.
"At least the dog's no longer yapping around, attacking cameramen," said TV critic Lizzie Celery.
"Stein started off all right, looking at Galician food. And while he was in the coastal region, there was plenty of fish, of course.
"But then he went into the mountains, in Asturias. So there he is, surrounded by mountains, not a river or a lake in sight. And what do we get? Bloody fish! Where did it come from? Did it fall with the rain.
"Come on Rick. Would a bit of mountain goat be too much to ask? How about some rabbit?"
