Sources report little activity recently on Manchester United and England footballer, Rio Ferdinand's Twitter account. Insiders reveal that they're not sure if the reason behind the inactivity is because of fear of hackers, or because of redtop allegations that Rio has been cheating on his wife with a virtual team squad of nubile young ladies, putting teammates to shame, and demonstrating why he is a proper skipper.
One enterprising redtop even arranged Rio's "other women" into a football squad, with the defender's wife in goal, and cheekily stating that the 'team' would be 'pretty useful up front.'
So far, Rio Ferdinand has refused to comment, but one Manchester United fan remarked:
"No wonder he's had a recurring back injury. Now it all makes sense. Mind you, looking at the photos, I reckon it's worth picking up a back injury for a pop at that lot. Bloody hell!"
