HOLLYWOOD - Fantasia Barrino, the winner of American Idol season number three, in 2004, returned to the AI stage and performed her newest song.
The song which was written by Kara DioGuardi and Ellen DeGeneres, two former AI judges who were both fired, no matter what they may say, was titled "Collared Greens And Cornbread."
One of the judges, who shall go nameless, softly remarked to the other two judges, who shall also go nameless that a woman with the 'full-figured mama' size of Fantasia has no business singing about food.
One of the other judges compared it to having an alcoholic singing a song about beer, or a a drug addict singing a song about crack cocaine.
In a span of just two and half minutes, Barrino, which is Ukrainian for 'Barrel' hmmm, not only sang about collared greens and cornbread, but also about okra, sugar pie, yams, hammocks, chicken wings, moon pies, chitlins, and a Butterball turkey.
One of the contestants, Lauren "Muffin Top" Alaina said that she got so hungry during the song that she quietly used her cell phone to make a call to Domino's Pizza and have them deliver two extra-large Memphis BBQ Chicken Pizza's, one for her, and one for the other ten contestants.
While Fantasia was performing Haley Reinhart turned to Stefano Langone and pointed out that she could not believe that Fanny was singing a song about food.
Haley giggled and said that you have never heard Wynonna Judd sing about chicken fried pork chops, or Stevie Nicks sings about a Triple Whopper Burger with Cheese, or Queen Latifah sing about a full rack of baby back barbecued ribs.
After the song was over Peaches Seacrest walked over to Fantasia and asked her how her diet was going. Fantasia looked at him and asked, "What diet my little white dude buddy?"
Seacrest simply looked into the camera, winked, and grinned like the Cambodian cat that swallowed the Croatian canary.
