Claims that Saturday's X Factor elimination was fixed were fuelled by a top alien expert last night.
The show's host Dermot O'Leary has been reported to have said a plan was concocted during the ad break after Katie and Treyc had given their 'save me' performances.
But the reality is much darker according top extraterrestrial observer Jeremy Lobotomy.
Mr Lobotomy said: "I have been observing aliens for several years and I am convinced that Kate and Treyc are not of this world.
"They are probably from a planet in the vicinity of Proxima Centauri which is about 4.3 light years from here.
"They are obviously in possession of some kind of technology which allows them to disguise themselves as human - like the Slitheen in Dr Who or Kodos and Kang in The Simpsons episode in which they run in a presidential election.
"And it is clear they are in cahoots with the X Factor producers - they obviously have them in their power, which is why they keep surviving.
"This is terrifying news for planet Earth and humanity. If they are here to observe and find that X Factor is the summit of our culture, we are surely doomed!"
