Susan Boyle and veteran rockers U2 are said to be delighted to perform on a new concept album dedicated to the memory of Raoul Moat.
The album entitled The Love Moat also includes contributions from Coldplay and Phil Collins, who will be singing from his bathroom in Switzerland via Skype.
The singers, collectively known as Moat Aid formed after they were touched by Mr. Moat's plight.
Susan Boyle's contribution, Cry me a moat is due to be released as a single and is tipped to be number one.
Sting is also keen to be involved and has rewritten Don't stand so close to me to suit the new context.
However, plans that the remaining members of The Clash were to reform to perform I fought the law and the law won have been shelved due to 'poor taste'.
