LONDON - Pete Doherty, one of the original members of The Libertines and later The Babyshambles has just announced that he and Pixie Lott will be regrouping The Libertines under the new name The Brand New Clean Libertines.
The 31-year-old Doherty first met the 19-year-old Pixie Lott last year when she was dating Simon Cowell, CEO of 19th Hole Productions.
It is no secret that Lott referred to the 50-year-old Cowell as 'Sugar Daddy' and Cowell referred to the 19-year-old Lott as 'Sugar Titties.'
The May-December couple became one of the most popular pair in the London music scene, many times partying in the early hours with such music icons as Mick Jagger, Elton John, Amy Winehouse, Girls Aloud members Sarah Harding and Nadine Coyle, and the legendary Petula Clark.
Doherty and Lott plan to go into the recording studio and record a remix of several Beatles classics including "Norwegian Wouldn't," "Diet Strawberry Fields," and "Here Comes The Son-Of-A-Bitch."
Lott and Doherty have not as yet been linked romantically but odds are that the two London natives will probably be drinking out of the same cup of tea pretty soon.
