Miley Cyrus attended the Annual Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards at the Pauley Pavilion here in LA last night accompanied by parents Billy Ray and Tish. Only to discover that she had missed out on two of the show's top awards.
Many observers were secretly pleased about this because it meant two less acceptance speeches from the 17 year old former Disney actress who recently quit the role of Hannah Montana amid great controversy.
Miley Cyrus was beaten to the Favorite TV Actress award by one time fellow Disney actress Selena Gomez, and lost the Favorite Female Singer category to country music star Taylor Swift.
Just when some audience members were warming to the possibility of an evening free from Miley Cyrus's non-stop talking, the teen queen won the award for Favorite Movie Actress, which of course prompted an interminable acceptance speech which covered just about every subject in the world from a Miley Cyrus viewpoint.
It appeared at one point that Miley Cyrus had to be forcibly pushed away from the podium microphone by the show's host to stop her from talking, but that could just have been a mix up.
Miley was seen talking animatedly to herself as she returned to her seat with her award. Miley's boyfriend, the Aussie actor Leon Hemsworth won the 'Tolerating Miley Cyrus's Incessant Chatter With Patience And Understanding Award' for the second year running.
More as we get it.
