Initial reactions to Madame Tussauds latest acquisition - Twilight star, Robert Pattinson - have been mostly favourable, with visitors remarking that the wax likeness bore a striking resemblence to the actor.
"Eeh, it looks just like him," said 17 year old Joan from Chorley.
Joan's mother was slightly more critical in her appraisal, saying: "It's a good likeness. It looks just like him. But you'd think they'd have smartened him up a bit, this being Madame Tussauds and all. He could have had a shave for starters. I do think there's nothing scruffier than a chap who hasn't shaved."
"She always says that," Joan explained. "She's forever having a go at me dad for not shaving. He hates shaving, me dad does. He thinks he looks a bit like George Michael when he has a bit of stubble. But he really just looks like me dad with a bit of stubble."
"Scruffy bugger he is," Joan's mother - whose forename we never did quite catch - told us as she walked off. "Not Robert Pattinson - Joan's dad."
Upon closer inspection of the waxwork, our man observantly spotted a small plinth with an inscription which read:
