Showbiz insiders have been expressing concerns over the general well being of X-Factor judge and mentor Louis Walsh, whose emotional stability (to lift a line from an old Marvin Gaye song) appears to be leaving him.
It has been well documented that Walsh was distraught over the premature death of Boyzone singer Stephen Gately, but certain associates have expressed concerns regarding his erratic behaviour.
"We're worried about Louis," some bloke from Darlington told me. "He seems to look flustered and confused. He's attacked Simon Cowell in public (Not in a gay way: ed) and he gets all over ecstatic about John and Edward, the Eraserhead twins from Dublin. He just twats on about how great they are when everybody else can see that they're just a novelty act."
We called some guy who claims to know a guy whose workmate's mum travels on the same bus to work as Louis's ex driver's sister's brother in law, who told us:
"I don't know anything about it."
Louis Walsh was unavailable for comment.
