Robbie Williams is to be given the special Outstanding Lifetime Achievement To Spoof Writers Award at a special ceremony at the Wellingborough Parish Hall. The award caps a triumphant return to public life for the singer.
From his days as the fat one in Take That to his days as a paranoid drug addled freak Williams has given so much to spoof writers that it is only fair that he should get something back.
The spoof awards ceremony is expected to be well attended with at least 10 spoof writers already confirmed as attending. The awards will be presented by HRH Prince Charles, who has previously won the Lifetime award. Hosting the show will be Mr Mark Lowton, editor and svengali of the Spoof.
Wellingborough has never had such a major event and the town is buzzing with excitement. "Robbie who?" asked Mrs Dorothy Nuttcracker when we approached her in Pentonville Rise.
The spoof awards will be broadcast live via You Tube. Anything Bono can do...
