Satire writer NickFun expressed regret at writing the above headline this afternoon from his home office near Los Angeles.
"That just didn't happen. I don't know what got into me", Fun stated. "I don't even know the Palins. I deeply apologize to the family."
Spoof editor Mark Lowton was very displeased with Fun's headline. "I may put one of those warning things on it to prevent people from being offended any further", Lowton stated.
Some sources speculate that Fun just wanted to find readers for his satire news articles whereas others speculate he just doesn't like Sarah Palin's politics.
"It's probably a bit of both", Fun admitted. "I will definitely be more careful of the headlines I write in the future. I mean, so what if Sarah Palin is a hypocrite".
Fun has gained notoriety for writing derogatory stories about celebrities, politicians and others. This is the first time he has ever apologized.
"I don't know what kind of positions Sarah Palin likes. I don't even know if she masturbates or not. That's really none of my business", a remorseful Fun declared.
Talk show host David Letterman praised Fun for his remorseful attitude also noting, "There's no such thing as bad publicity".
Fun stated that he will try not to write any further offensive headlines like this unless he's paid for doing so.
