Sarah Jessica Parker and her husband Matthew Broderick have made the rounds doing interviews about a subject they themselves say should be a personal one, but see that they have no choice.
"The media people, or rather, a group of media people have gone over the edge in trying to get information, photographs, whatever they can on anyone in the public eye. They no longer have any restraints, ever with police help", claimed Parker recently on several websites and TV interviews.
"I don't think our fans realize what we go through with these people. Sure they're doing their job but their job is not putting people's lives in danger."
In particular, Sarah Jessica Parker and husband Matthew Broderick say that they are amazed at what has happened to them during the last six months since they decided to add to their family by using a surrogate mother, because of serious problems after the birth of their son, James.
"We had gotten used to the harassment, especially when our son came along six years ago, so we were hoping this way would be the best for all."
"At first we were excited because we learned that we were having twins. But then the "Rotsies" as Matthew call them, got hold of all this and tracked down the surrogate mother. They have not let up on her and the stress is taking it's toll on the lady."
"I felt very excited after learning about the twins and I've told our son, James, that he's to become a big brother. He understands everything to a great degree and he's happy, but then things have gotten crazy."
"Here's a woman carrying our twins and she's followed everywhere she goes. Everyone thinks you can simply call the police but these people know how to get around all that. Then there's the fact that this may just be a weirdo, posing as a reporter."
"The lady has had her telephone hacked, her computer hacked, she and her family threatened and one guy chased down her neighbor who is also pregnant. He scared her to death and after a description, it appears he wasn't even a professional but some guy wanting to make a quick buck. A least HE was arrested."
"What if she loses HER baby?"
"I'm stopping now for as you can see I'm very upset. But these people have crossed the line. I'm sure there are photographers who are doing a decent job, but if you know who these jackals are, please turn them in."
"The only thing we can do now is to hold these public interviews and simply put everything out in the open. But it's a shame that a family cannot have any privacy at all."
"Perhaps a group of actors should hire whole staffs of photographers to go after Paparazzi families and have them hiding in trees and chasing THEIR families everywhere they go?"
