Following his shock win in American Idol, Kris Allen has called on his British fans to vote for Susan Boyle on the UK's X Factor. He said that he felt it was his 'duty' to promote the Irish singer now that he had won his competition.
Kris was full of praise for Susan's debut performance on the first heat of Britain's Got Talent, and said that she 'epitomises the spirit of the underdog'.
He went on to say that she could easily win Pop Idol if the public back his call for them to vote for her. "I think if Susie wins it will be mainly because of my call for people to support her," he said. "And I cannot think of anyone more suited to win X Factor."
When asked which of the other contenders from Britain's Got Talent he had seen perform on YouTube, he said Leona Lewis, Paul Potter and Cheryl Cole.
