Sarah Jessica Parker, 41, has been approached by international electrical goods company GE to be the face of their brand new vacuum cleaner. The new vacuum cleaner is aimed at single city women with hectic lifestyles who don't have time to spend their spare hours hoovering in the old fashioned sense.
The new vacuum type cleaner is similar to a light sabre. It operates by being cast over a room or hall with one hand and with the simple flick of a switch, all dirt and condiments are magnated towards it and sucked up by its powerful 2,200 hp motor. The sabre lights up as its belly fills up with dirt, starting with yellow and gradually glowing to a poo brown colour when full. Inventors claim it is not just practical, but fun to use.
The new product took a long time to perfect. Demonstrators came across problems during the 18 month testing period. On one occasion a Persian cat was sucked up into the motor, on another a 28cm TV, while in yet another the motor actually spat out all the contents of its belly and the sabre turned black. But all the hiccups were eventually ironed out, and the new vacuum cleaner is now being hailed as one of the greatest inventions in history.
The Sucks In The City is being released worldwide on July 1 in all good electrical department stores. It will retail for around US$200. Parker's face will feature on the packaging and she will be staring in all magazine and television adverts for the product.
