Metropolis, Illinois - After six years as the drummer of the Tribute To The Beatles Band, "Yoko Butthole", Randy "Ringo" Snodgrass announced Wednesday that he is leaving the group because they never let him sing.
"I've simply reached the height, the creative junction of my talents and I think I can sing several songs a friend has written especially for me", stated Snodgrass. "I realize that Sonny Carter, Richard Woodcock and Hardin Bushmill sound a lot like Paul, George and John but My Ringo gets by pretty good on the drums, but they simply won't let me sing."
"He sounds like a country and western Leonard Cohen with a toothache", stated band leader, Hardin Bushmill. "We all know Ringo couldn't sing, but compared to Randy, he sounds like Frank Sinatra.
"And you should see those lyrics by his friend, Homer Dockery. Listen to this: "I got a girl named Horse who's the apple of my eye".
"You see what I mean? Hey, Sonny, go out to a low class beer joint and see who's doing drums there."
