Manchester Hippydrome - (Ass Mess): "Maybe he should have stayed away from those Berlin hookers," was Trudie Styler's response following the news today that her husband's regurgitated 1980s pop group Police have ditched plans for two scheduled concerts in Manchester after Sting and his mates went down with a parasitic sore throat infection.
Sting, aka Gordon Sumner, drummer Stewart Copeland and guitarist Andy Summers have all complained of a repiratory bug, "a bit of a frog in the throat maybe", ever since sharing the delights of Madam Helga's Bratwust Bierkeller & Go-Go Strip Klub top entertainer last month.
Their wives and girlfriends have insisted on a temporary halt to all the usual conjugal relations until swab tests identify the parasite that got into their respective systems.
The three musicians are said to be feeling utterly miserable amid news that ten thousand Mancunian fans have demanded their money back on the cancelled gigs.
The concerts, part of the reunited trio's five-month world tour, were to have taken place at the Hippydrome Arena in Manchester on Monday and Tuesday.
The same, untreated ailment forced the group to call off two concerts in Germany and another in Belgium last week.
