Informants close to the songstress report that last Thursday Britney Spears had tucked her two boys into bed and read them "Curious George."
She then reportedly kissed Sean Preston and Jayden James each on the cheek and proceeded to turn off the light.
"It was that Curious George book with the Tall Yellow Guy," one Spears confidant who wishes not to be identified said.
Further investigation, however, revealed that the Tall Yellow Guy is in every "Curious George" book.
"Curious George" was created by H.A. Rey in 1941. It is not clear why Spears felt the need to read such an old book to her children -- once again bringing up speculation that she is an unfit mother.
"C'mon, that's such an old book," Spears's ex, Kevin Federline, was quoted as saying to associates. "She's trying to make my boys unhip, yo."
Federline is currently suing Spears for sole custody of their two children and the right to read them newer books like "Everyone Poops."
