US and A (Get the Funk Out) - Irregular Spoof! contributor 'NickFun', whose name happens to be an anagram for the seventies funk/jazz-funk/soul-jazz group "Funk Inc." (and is therefore believed to be the pen name of the band's conga-player, Cecil Hunt, who entered the government witness protection program in the late nineties), has hinted in discussion groups that he prefers living in the warm, sunny climate of southern California.
The Feds had lost track of Hunt due to a 'filing error', but former bandmate Bobby Watley has verified through legal domestic wiretapping coordinated with the US Census Bureau that 'NickFun' sure sounds an awful lot like the funk percussionist upon closer inspection.
"Do I think that Cecil Hunt and 'NickFun' could be one and the same person?" said Watley. "Damn right I do!"
FBI agents diverted from the long-cold "D.B. Cooper" case have been placed on the now-warm "Cecil Hunt" hunt. Investigators loitering in trenchcoats near the home of 'NickFun' refused to comment. However, neighbors have filed several complaints with local police regarding late-night funk-laden conga-riffs in recent months.
