The mystery behind Rafa's goatee beard was revealed to The Spoof today ... and it's possibly CONTAGIOUS.
Rafa's goatee first appeared at Liverpool's pre-season Port of Rotterdam tournament, and we can reveal that the reason behind Rafa's razor agony ... is a mystery skin complaint.
A member of staff at Liverpool's five star team hotel showed a Spoof writer pillow cases and sheets from Rafa's hotel room, and they clearly show positive evidence that Rafa's skin condition is DANGEROUS and OUT OF CONTROL.
We took the evidence to a top Harley Street physician, Dr Dirk Van Percy, who analysed the mystery deposits and concluded that Rafa does indeed have a severe case of a mystery skin complaint ... and it could be CONTAGIOUS.
"The goatee is clearly covering something up, and this, combined with the evidence I have in front of me leads me to conclude that Rafa is indeed a very sick man."
Goatee beards have been known to grow into long dangerous whispy things that can become entangled in fast moving machinery, or even passing vehicles.
We say, Rafa, WATCH OUT. Shave it off, or be shamed.
