American singing star, Sheryl Crow, has said original tapes of her albums, including Tuesday Night Music Club and The Globe Sessions were lost when a fire engulfed archives at Universal Studios in Los Angeles in 2008, and the songs are now lost forever, because she can't remember what they sounded like.
pes were destroyed in the fire, and songs that were largely forgettable in the first place, have now been forgotten in the second place.
Said Crow:
"There was one I kind of remember - something about Santa Monica Boulevard - but the others are a complete blank to me."
Fans have rushed to her rescue, however.
One fan, Jodie Finkelshammer, of New York, said:
"I have 'The Globe Sessions' on a CD my friend burned for me back in the day. I've burned her a copy, and will be sending it to her soon."
Another, Don Saddo, from Los Angeles, said:
"My favorite of hers was 'That Don't Impress Me Much', but 'Like A Virgin' wasn't too bad, either."
