In an attempt to revitalise his flagging career, Paul Daniels and his once beautiful wife Debbie Magee have agreed to film an experiment in social drug taking for Channel 4.
In the first of the series, Mr Daniels is said to have taken acid in a bid to understand the myths and experiences of the drug.
Critics have been angered by the series claiming this is reality TV gone mad.
One commentator has agreed however, that the third in the series which sees Daniels' long suffering assistant cutting cocaine with the eight of diamonds then snorting it off his chest, only for the midget sized magician to identify the playing card, is TV genius for the 21st century.
