News has reached us that Channel 4 has revealed its full seasonal programme which consists of 48 hours of very cheap live editions of Gogglebox.
Television cameras will be in the homes of the posh couple who drink a lot, the older couple with the grumpy husband, the interchangeable families, Sandy and Sandra, who also drink a lot, and other people we can't remember.
Watching the people watching television will add to the festive feelings, as they are bound to fall out with the camera men, argue over the toffee pennies that are always left, and the effect the the sprouts will have on Uncle Neville.
The Queen's speech is bound to cause controversy, whilst the choice of films, Christmas merriment in the soaps, and an explosive ending to the episode will hopefully see a spike in viewing figures, particularly during Downton Abbey, where Lady Mary risks something, Lady Edith and Maggie Smith have a game of poisonous put-downs, and lovable oaf Lord Grantham will do something buffoonish.
Channel Four's head honcho of money saving, Spendthrift McGee said: 'This is great for Channel Four. It has been a great series, making television stars out of people who watch television. All we have to do is show The Snowman, the news and the Queen, and everyone else will be happy'.
