EL PASO - Actress Betty White was detained for a couple of hours by the United States customs agents in the port city of El Paso, Texas after crossing over from Juarez, Mexico.
A representative with the U.S. Immigration Department stated that the 91-year-old White was searched on the bridge and a female agent found seven grams of a controversial drug known as Cartinboosincal.
The drug is very popular with older women 80 and up as it provides a certain female hormone that causes the ingester to develop a desire for sexual relations.
Ms. White denied that she had any knowledge of the drug which was in a pill bottle that was labeled Beatrice Whitsington.
Beatrice is a long time neighbor of Ms. White's.
White who stars in the cable series Hot In Cleveland explained that she thinks that Mrs. Whitsington must have accidentally put the pill container in her purse thinking that it was (Whitsington's) purse.
SIDENOTE: A customs agent made a call to Mrs. Whitsington who remarked that she had misplaced her bottle of Cartinboosincal and asked the officer if he knew if anyone had found it.
