NEW YORK CITY - Madonna, who at one time was one of the top singers in the music business, is beginning to hear the footsteps of reality creeping up on her.
Music Moments Magazine noted that the woman who was born Madonna Louise Ciccone at one time sold millions of records and filled concert auditoriums and coliseums throughout America.
But now, Madonna, who will turn 55, on August 16, is desperately trying to get back in the spotlight but the spotlight keeps moving away from her.
In her latest gallery of disappointments the "Express Yourself" singer has not only had her artistic persona crushed but her womanly self-pride as well.
An unnamed source has informed Music Moments Magazine that Madonna has just received a pink rejection slip in the mail which was from the men's magazine Playmale.
Madonna had written the editor asking if they wanted to include her in an upcoming nude layout.
She stated that she knew that the publication would literally fly off the shelves.
She was basically told "Thanks but no thanks" as they say in LaLaLand.
A close source said that Madonna was devastated at being rejected.
SIDENOTE: Comedian Zydeco Dupree has said that Madonna just has to accept the simple fact that she has gone from being the Material Girl to being the Material Grandmother.
