NEW YORK CITY - John Travolta flew into New York City to visit an old friend and he was asked about the recent scandal that is going on in his church.
Durango Tucker with National Focus Magazine asked Travolta why Kirstie Alley and Katie Holmes, who are members of The Church of The Scientific Method, can be so vicious to Leah Remini just because she chose to leave their church.
Travolta, 59, grinned and said that it is not nice for anyone to leave the church and especially an individual who has celebrity fame such as Ms. Remini does.
When told that 42-year-old Leah had been a devoted member for 30 years the Saturday Night Fever star simply remarked that by Leah leaving the church it makes it seem like there is something wrong with the organization.
John was asked if the fact that Leah has now become a member of the Hail Hallelujah Church upsets him.
"Upset is not the word," Travolta stated, "The word is more like angry as hell."
He did state to Mr. Tucker that he has already instructed both Kirstie Alley, 62, and Katie Holmes who is 34, to stop verbally attacking Miss Remini in public.
The Urban Cowboy actor said that Kirstie is a big girl (literally) and he cannot control what she is going to say or do no more than he can control what she is going to shove into her mouth (food wise).
Travolta laughed as he said that in Katie's case yes he can force her to stop insulting Leah because of the fact that Holmes is a meek little moppet and she will absolutely do what he tells her to do.
