The Royal Family confirmed today that young members would appear in a new BBC talent show in what has been seen as an attempt to divert the news away from recent scandals.
The new late night BBC Three show named 'Strictly Striptease' will be hosted by veteran broadcaster Keith Chegwin who himself is no stranger to television nudity having stripped of for 'The Naked Jungle' on Five in 2000. It is also not the first time that members of the Royal Family have appeared in a game show. Prince Edward co produced 1987s 'It's a Grand Knockout Tournament' commonly known as 'It's a Royal Knockout'.
The Royals confirmed to appear are Prince Harry, Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, Sophie, Countess of Wessex and the son in law of Princess Anne England Rugby International Mike Tindall. All those taking part have a history of public nudity so feel at home with stripping off for the cameras.
The format for the show is loosely based on 'Strictly Come Dancing' each of the Royals will be trained up by a professional strip tease artist and have to perform a full strip in front of a panel of judges. Members of the public will be able to vote for the winner.
Booked for the judging panel are Nadya Suleman, better known as the Octomom, who recently appeared in an erotic video and Richard Fairbrass the frontman of Right Said Fred who has posed nude for magazines in the past. The judging panel will be headed up by veteran pornographer David Sullivan. Co-hosting the show with Chegwin will be legendary Page Three girl Sam Fox.
'Royal Strictly Striptease' will air on BBC Three at 22:00 on December the 25th.
