Tesla motors, darling of the Department of Energy, spurned on by investment guru Al "Big Dawg" Gore, and close confidants of Obama's Chicago Cartel, noted for the GREEN they stuff into their pockets, still hasn't produced one sedan it promised over a year ago.
Flush with cash from the US government funded grant of $465m to provide energy efficient vehicles and 'green jobs', the company lost $55m on income of $111 M in 2009 while employing a handful of office staff.
There are rumours that in addition to deposits taken on the sedan, and the government money, founder Damian Ponzi, a African self made millionaire from successful internet start ups, is also distracted with his development of low cost mail delivering rocket systems to outer space....talk about your 'long range' planning!
As one critic cryptically said, 'What's he goin be sending up there....a toilet bowl plunger for the leaking Russian toilet on the space station, or the latest twitters from Hollywood stars? He can just go shit in his hat as far as I'm concerned...but he's taking my taxpayer money to do it!"
Also conflicting management is that Mr. Ponzi's acrimonious divorce, while settled, is still embroiled in financial disagreement while he waits to marry his 24 year old English ' actress" girlfriend, allegedly a wardrobe malfunction specialist for English All Girl Band The Bonkettes, brainchild of Spoof Icon,

So far, in addition to the Energy Department, Obama coerced Toyota into 'lending' Tesla $50m for 'joint development' of electric cars, just about the same time the Japanese company was having difficulty with their 'high speed' floor mats, since found to have nothing to do with run away vehicles, but definitely connected to either ding bat drivers texting while driving, or out for a free pay day.
Even if Tesla finally gets a few cars on the road, they haven't even started building the electric refueling stations promised to be built through out the states.
Meanwhile, back in the states, the real unemployment numbers are at least 16%, and taxpayers with perfect credit can't even get a loan to buy a real car from Ford, who never took a dime of 'bailout' money.
