A important discovery was made today in an ancient cave relating to a financial meltdown in pre-historic times.
From pre-historic drawings of carvings on the cave wall experts have deciphered evidence of the financial markets in turmoil even in those days.
The crisis appears to have started when fur trader Barn E Rubble decided to trade one of his furs in return for an option, when he had made them, on 3 spears from Fred E Flintstone. Mr Flintstone then used this fur now worth 3 spears to trade with a arrow head maker who traded an option on 2 arrowheads in return.
The fur then got traded many more times until nobody could remember where it came from in the first place. The last owner of the fur had to be bailed out by my Mr Drew Id of Stonehenge from the his store of hunting implements.
The same process happened many more times until Mr Drew Id had used up all his stock. A huge stone circle was then built to protect any future stocks and many people went without food and clothes as the entire supplies of everything appears to have been in the ownership of an Olly Gark and his mates the Emirates.
