As the US economy reels from a collapsed housing market, surging oil and food prices and most recently the largest one month increase in unemployment in two decades, House Democrats with the support of 49 Republicans tried to extend unemployment benefits to those Americans who cannot find jobs in these hard times. The bill failed as scores of Republicans voted no.
Many reported that they weren't sure what unemployment was since they have never been employed thanks to mummy's money. Others said that they would hold out until the bill was extended to recently jobless presidents and vice-presidents. "We're worried about our nation's leaders. How can America hold its head high if Bush and Cheney end up on the bread line?
