London - (Ass mess): Now the carnival really is over for the luxury Cunard liner the QE2 as its owners the Carnival Group has announced that it has been sold to the Dubai World Company to become a floating brothel moored off the Palm Jumeirah development in the Arabian Gulf.
The forty year old 70,000-tonne vessel has been flogged off for a nominal £50 million and will undergo a refit before being kitted out with special bondagee and S&M gear before being promoted on specialist 'honeymoon' packages in the burgeoning sex tourism market.
Sources close to Shaikh McTomb Raider of Dubai say that the QE2 will become a floating pleasure palace and will be renamed The Dubai Camilla.
Its new berth from late 2009 is to be an iconic pier on one of the man-made palm islands that are replete these days with second division footballers and re-invented ex-coacine dealers masquarading as international property speculators.
A Cunard speokesman said today: "It's over for QE2 but we
are delighted to be able to make a quick buck from flogging off the old bonerattler to the McTombs of Dubai."
