Singapore Airlines CEO Goh Choon Phong has declared that Singapore Airlines will halt flights from inside and outside the Republic of Singapore until approximately April 10 (subject to change).
Phong states: “Coronavirus is one of the worst epidemics to ever have entered the planet, and everything must be done to prevent its spreading.”
Singapore Airlines is also reporting profit losses of 17% in the first quarter of 2020 due to flight cancellations to China, Taiwan, South Korea, Vietnam, and Thailand.
Singapore Changi International Airport and Seletar Airport will be shutting down until March 1 to prevent the outbreak.
