FORT COLLINS, COLORADO - Pottery businesses in Colorado are experiencing booming sales. Weed users, especially those who don't have acreage, are buying up pots by the dozens to grow their own canniabus.
Over the past month, pots of every color have been disappearing off the shelves of local pottery shops, many who are still in business after the hippie heydey of the 60's and 70's.
"We are thrilled," says Dandelion Fluff Wilson, a local potter who has been struggling for years to make ends meet in her shop near the Colorado State University Campus. "My husband, Moondoggie, and I can't make the pots fast enough, I've had to hire extra potters. We used to get the occasional old lady looking for pots for her petunias, or the foreign tourists, looking for interesting souvenirs, but really, this is wild!"
