Deary Diary,

I love to use the word 'secular' because it sounds like something the Pope should say when giving a homily. I know that people don't like me because I am a bitter old man, and, sure, I believe that dogma takes precedence over improving the faith of my Church.

I try to smile when I speak, but this isn't helping. My approval numbers are lower than Obama's. What is a man like me to do?
