Oct 22 1804

As I sit in my bear furs, surprising even myself with my own writing genius, I lay down yet another great plan: It is that of the ROUTE NAPOLEON, my proposal for a great road linking Paris in the North to Antibes , in the South....The Anglais, have already scoffed at the idea, saying that, the French Engineers will be stopping for wine and sex-breaks every 20 minutes , not to mention the labourers, who will probably strike every time the coffee beans go on fire.....Alors, let them sneer...what do they know, the English, with their mud-caked Shires and their Cornish Pasties ? I will show them
