In Birmingham, in the middle of England, a handsome man made redundant by the city council, Patrick Hayes came up with a revolutionary plan - become Me!

He decided to take on the persona of L'Emperor, but is hoping the after-dinner speaking job won't prove his Waterloo.

Patrick's well-qualified for the job with the full outfit at the ready and a good grasp of the French language - plus, like me, he's not the tallest at just 5ft 2ins.
