Arsene Wenger - My Fake Diary

Monday, 14 May 2012

An emotional and nervous last match of the season at West Brom yesterday.

A win guarantees Champions League football, with Spurs and Newcastle doing their best to overtake us.
Roy Hodgson is in charge of his last match as WBA manager before taking over as England boss, and Pat Rice will retire as my assistant.

Luckily we had comical goalkeeping from Marlon Fulop to thank in our 3-2 win and we will be playing Champions League group stages next season, while Tottenham have to hope Chelsea don't win the Champions League next saturday. Spurs had a 12 point lead over us three months ago before they self-destructed. That is the polite way of saying eet!

I must remember to add Marlon to my Christmas card list!
